Embark on an exciting ATV adventure to explore two wonders of the Sacred Valley of the Incas: the fascinating Maras Salt Mines and the impressive circular terraces of Moray.
Embark on an exciting ATV adventure to explore two wonders of the Sacred Valley of the Incas: the fascinating Maras Salt Mines and the impressive circular terraces of Moray.
The tour begins at Plaza Regocijo in Cusco, where we will pick you up and transfer you to the ATV base in the town of Cruzpata, approximately one hour from the city. Upon arrival, you will receive a brief briefing on safe ATV operation and the necessary equipment. You will also have time to practice in a safe area and familiarize yourself with the vehicle before starting the adventure. The ATV tour begins in Cruzpata and heads towards Moray, traversing spectacular Andean landscapes, agricultural fields, and local communities.
Note: ATVs do not enter the archaeological site; we will take a short hike from a nearby point to explore the site on foot.
After Moray, you will return by ATV to Cruzpata and take transportation to the Maras Salt Mines. You will learn about this ancient process and its cultural and economic significance. You will enjoy a tasting of products made with Maras salt.
Finally, you will board the transportation back to Cusco. You will arrive at approximately 2:00 p.m. if you choose the morning shift, or 7:00 p.m. if you opt for the afternoon shift.

Our guide will explain about the circular terraces designed by the Incas as an ingenious agricultural research center where you will discover how they adapted agriculture to different altitudes.
Maras Salt Mines
A natural complex with more than 4,000 mineral-rich salt pools, exploited since pre-Inca times. There, you will observe how locals keep the artisanal salt extraction tradition alive, learn about this ancestral process and its cultural and economic importance.
